BioWell, hello, sir-or-madam. I'm a bespectacled white girl: born in the Bay Area, raised lovingly by freethinkers, blooming where I was planted. I currently work in patient education as a copyeditor. I suppose one could technically say "copyeditrix," but since most copyeditors are female anyway (a somewhat disquieting state of affairs), it seems a tad redundant. Eventually I plan to bust loose from this job and move to the East Bay, the sooner the better (low be it spoken). As I marshal my resources to do just that, I console myself with kitchen experiments and crafty mischief. My table currently holds several drawing pads, a couple of sepia pens, and a huge wonderful cookbook. There's also a shiny new guide called "101 Great Hikes of the San Francisco Bay Area," which I have every intention of using just as soon as I've finished up...er, whatever is distracting me today.
